How To Make The Most Money With Postmates

How much money does a postmates driver make??

I see results online that vary from $10-25 per hour, what is the average wage per hour a driver makes, at different times of day, and before and after expenses? Thanks!!

... after deductions (gas and a snack), I found out I was doing volunteer/charity work for Postmates and its customers.

I guess I can use the mileage as a deduction...

Yeah 3.50 and a jawbreaker, and a box of envelopes

As an LA courier, I make about $7.50/delivery, about 75 deliveries per week, working about 35hrs/wk. That's about $16/hr. Better than minimum and without the hassle of working in retail.

I get about the same numbers in LA.

I lifetime average $7.4/job and $15/h . My average is lower than current gains because of learning curve and improvements on my technique, gear, vehicle, etc.

I did the math not too long ago, and I average somewhere between $12-$15 an hour depending on tips. Usually I can average just over 2 deliveries per hour (like complete two and start on the next), but I'm usually happy with a two-per-hour pace. I've never taken out expenses, but my car is decently fuel efficient, so gas costs aren't terrible for me.

I just delivered yesterday and the day before in Dallas from 5 pm to 1-2 am. Heres my results. I never had any large downtime. I have had days before where I'm in a red zone and can't get an order for an hour or so it can get frustrating. Being near popular restaurants can help but it's a crapshoot really. I expect a few more tips to roll in but not much more. Made about 11 an hour. Factor in gas and wear and tear and probably closer to 10 an hour. The good thing about postmates is if you need a significant chunk of change quickly (and don't have other time commitments) you can just grind it out 15 hour days for a week and have 600 bucks. Seems like the system rewards you with more orders when you accept/deliver quickly and consistently, so if you are busting your ass the orders will come in. Don't expect tips, don't keep checking your deposit payout, just put on a podcast or listen to some music and start poppin em off. It's honestly pretty cushy compared to a non-climate controlled rubbermaid factory for 10.33 an hour :)

Honestly there's way too many factors.. sometimes I make 8 an hour sometimes I can make 50 a hour.. postmates is weird like that.. it all depends on the tips and no one can really determine what every single person is going to tip... I've been stiffed on 200$ orders but got tips 10 on a 5 $ cup of coffee at star bucks.. it's all luck brotha

How often do u get orders usually? Like is there a lot of waiting in between or is it order after order? What are the best times to drive at?

If you doing your job decent and working 40 hr weeks 5 days a week. I say the rough average would be about $500 a week. That's saying if you're doing 2 jobs an hour during that time. Which will in turn end up being 80 jobs a week. That will end up roughly being $320 before tips come in. So most likely 50 percent will tip you and make that $500 or more dollars.

According to my account page i make 10+ an hour overall. If i look at my wages though for any particular night it's usually 15+ after tips etc. But yes, realistically it's around 10 bucks an hour.

It depends on where you live but in my area about $5 an hour unless you are on a guarantee. Postmates pays the worst of any delivery service in my area so I only will work with some kind of guarantee.

I just did 30 deliveries for $400 guaranteed and Postmates is having to kick in over $200 in bonus money.

$4 per delivery in Vegas, plus mileage and wait time. Tips are iffy. Maybe 60% tip me.

level 1

I made $6 something the first two deliveries and $11 something for my third delivery.

level 2

I've made about 13.00 an hour this week. It's really dependent on tips. Ex. I ordered almost $100 worth of fast food for someone and only made $5 before tip. Easily tripled that with a tip. Unfortunately there are no guarantees.
